About

The South Australian Sled Dog Club is a passionate community that supports dog and human happiness, offering an epic winter series of dryland sled dog events held in South Australia.

We like to keep things fun and simple. Our club welcomes individuals and dogs of all skill levels, from those who chase the podium to the casual teams looking for a fun weekend out with their dog.

Our race format and rules are based on the Australian Sleddog Sports Association. A race consists of one or two timed heats, which are combined for the accumulated time. Teams must navigate the entire track following the trail markers on both days or heats for their time to count. Dryland sled dog racing is undertaken with multiple categories and rewards good sportsmanship along with other special awards – not just the teams with the most time to practice.

Since 2001 we’ve existed to promote the sport, encourage youth involvement, and foster good sportsmanship in South Australia. We’re 100% volunteer-driven and here to provide dogs and their owners of all abilities and ages an unforgettable team bonding experience in some of our state’s best locations.

We’re proud of the community we’ve created and look forward to more good times in the future.
